End of Summer 2011...

Here are some pictures of the yard and garden.  No surprise some of the resident tribe of cats managed to sneak in some of them.

Beginnings Spring 2011

Getting ready for the Summer, and projects are in the works.  I have a few photos of what I've got going so far.

This is the trellis I have been working on, with plantings on either side...

And of course, the infamous "river-bed".  BIG stones, lined underneath with pinestraw, fed from the gutters dug under the grass and filtering downhill.

Coming soon....I am building a little bridge, which will be placed over the river bed.   Don't expect a tri-leveled or suspension bridge!

Oh, and there are about 6 more cats that call the garden/yard area "home".  I'm sure they will stop by for a photo-op soon enough.

Meanwhile.....

In the front portion of the yard in front of the house in the shrubs, I made a cute little water dish from a large clay planter and some odds n ends.  It serves mainly as the cats watering dish!
